Community Bike Works

Community Bike Shop

In partnership with the Catholic Charities' Refugee Program, Lehigh Conference of Churches Linkage Program, Victory House and other agencies, our kids fix bikes and donate them to inner city residents so they can commute to work. In cooperation with the Allentown Police Department, free bike inspections and repairs are provided to residents at neighborhood bicycle derbies. Safety classes are taught. Community activities, such as rides and bike rodeos are organized.

Objectives:

Have 60% of our youths work in the community bike shop beyond the contracted 24 hours of Earn a Bike.
Provide bikes to needy adults referred by other agencies.

We always need bikes, especially boy's 20 inch. To donate a bicycle, please call 610-434-1140.

This year, more than 300 youths participated in various activities!
