Evaluation,  Documentation & Hours

Youth participants, volunteers and staff sign in and out when they partake in activities. Signin sheets, for each program, include date, name, time in, time out and a description of the activity. Parents complete a registration and permission form, and income verification. Referrals to and from agencies are documented.

In our continuing effort to apply best practices, Community Bike Works' programs and goals address the "40 Developmental Assets Youth Need to Succeed" by:

    5. one on one adult mentorship with three or more non-parent adults
    6. using youth as resources as mentors, youth volunteers and apprentices
    7. promoting youth service to others by working at city sponsored bike rodeos, participating in the city's  'adopt a block' and repairing bikes that are donated to others
